Taking a closer look at the colour wheel

Do you find it frustrating trying to find a colour combination, or colour relationship for a particular colour wheel colour family? Well, we have something to help you.

We also found it difficult to select colour harmonies to use in our art and craft. So, to help us understand colour, we undertook exercises and created colour wheels using different mediums, including a range of coloured pencil brands, and found colour relationships. As part of the exercise, we drilled down into each colour relationship, and found colour sub-relationships, and colour combinations. Then we created example illustrations to show what these sub-relationships, and colour combinations look like.

Helping you find colour harmony for your art and craft

We created products showing colour harmonies, and provided details of a variety of drawing materials. Yet you may not have any of those materials. You may just want to knit, or sew, or embroider. or just make something that needs colour harmony.

The images and buttons below link to pdf workbooks we have created about each colour harmony.
