SKU318 Shark 2 is a coloured pencil drawing based on a photograph of a grey nurse shark swimming off Fish Rock near South West Rocks, Kempsey, NSW, Australia.

The picture is drawn in a range of coloured pencils. First, it has an underpainting of Caran d’Ache Supracolor aquarelle coloured pencils. Next, it has been overlayered with a mix of Caran d’Ache oil-based Pablo coloured pencils, Faber Castell oil-based Polychromos coloured pencils and finally highlighted with Caran d’Ache Luminance wax-based coloured pencils.

The colours follow a tetrad colour relationship of yellow, red-orange, green-blue and violet.
Original size drawing is 29×20cms.

The drawing was developed with permission from a photograph taken by Zaven Hekimian.
